YOU
CAN Make a Difference!
SUPPORT
the
"CATHOLIC
IMMIGRANT CENTERS"
PILOT
PROJECT
As
a collaboration between the Catholic Campaign for Immigration
Reform (CCIR) and Catholic Charities of the
Archdiocese of Chicago, the "Catholic Immigrant
Centers" respond to the Gospel call to "Welcome the
Stranger" and will serve the unmet basic needs of immigrants in
the Archdiocese of Chicago in order to foster their integration into
community, parish and civic life.
Goal
of "Catholic Immigrant Centers" Pilot Project
Establish
up to 10 parish-based immigrant service centers across the
Archdiocese of Chicago from 2008-2010. In the communities they will
operate, these centers will welcome, integrate and minister to
immigrants, providing them a core set of culturally-sensitive anchor
services.
